Key Storylines
Recent form
- The Golden Knights have lost three of their last four games, including two of the first three games of their current road trip. Vegas is coming off a 7-1 thrashing at the hands of the Ottawa Senators, where the Knights weren't good enough on either end of the ice.
- Montreal has dropped two games in a row going into Tuesday night. The Canadiens lost to the red-hot Buffalo Sabres at home before falling at TD Garden against the Boston Bruins. The Habs will try to rebound on home ice here.
Goaltending
- Adin Hill is expected to get the start for the Golden Knights in this matchup. Hill has missed most of this season due to injuries, and he has struggled when he has played, entering this game with a 3.53 GAA for the year.
- Jakub Dobes is the expected starter in net for the Habs. Dobes leads the Canadiens with a .887 save percentage and a 3.01 GAA. Those are not great numbers by any stretch of the imagination, but they are the best the Canadiens have to work with.

Final Thoughts
Neither team is playing all that well going into this matchup. But I would lean toward the Canadiens to get the win on home ice in this one. I would also lean slightly toward the over, given the history of both teams going over their totals in most games this season. Expect an exciting game, one that will eventually go over the posted total.
