The Seattle Kraken are on the road to face the Utah Mammoth on Saturday in what figures to be an intriguing Western Conference contest. These teams are separated by just one point so far this season, with both teams occupying playoff positions to this point in the 2025-26 season. But only one of these teams will get out of Salt Lake City with a win here. Before this game begins, continue reading to get my Kraken vs Mammoth prediction on the ice.
Pick: | Mammoth -1.5 ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 3/5 |
The Mammoth have been rolling of late, including a dominant 6-1 home win against the Toronto Maple Leafs where Dylan Guenther and Jack McBain each produced three points. That victory was part of a strong run that has seen Utah climb into a Wild Card spot as the season has gone on. Utah also beat the Kraken 5-3 in their previous meeting in December, with Guenther scoring the go‑ahead power‑play goal in the third period.
Seattle has been solid on the road this season, entering this game with an 11-9-4 record on the road. But they have dropped four of their last five games and will need to be better than they have been lately to avoid another loss.
Utah’s Karel Vejmelka has been steady in goal with a goals‑against average of 2.53 and a save percentage just over .900. He gives the Mammoth dependable goaltending that should help them stay competitive. Seattle’s goaltending rotation features Joey Daccord, who has a GAA of 2.84 with a .902 save rate, similar to Vejmelka’s numbers though slightly inferior.
Utah’s offense has been led by forwards like Clayton Keller, who has tallied 44 points on the season with 13 goals and 31 assists. Dylan Guenther has led the goal scoring for Utah with 23 tallies. Nick Schmaltz and John‑Jason Peterka also provide scoring regularly for Utah. On Seattle’s side, Jordan Eberle leads the Kraken with 30 points and 16 goals, while Vince Dunn contributes plenty of playmaking from the blue line. Seattle’s offense has been less efficient overall compared to Utah’s balanced attack.
Score Projection: Utah Mammoth 4 – Seattle Kraken 2 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Utah Mammoth 58%, Seattle Kraken 42% ATS PRO
These teams are going in opposite directions lately, with the Mammoth playing much better hockey of late than the Kraken. I'm going to lay the puckline with the Mammoth as the favorite in this contest, as they should hand Seattle a fifth loss in six games.
