The Seattle Kraken and Philadelphia Flyers will meet in the NHL on Monday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. The Kraken enter this game on a five-game point streak to start their season. They also enter on one of the most interesting streaks we've seen in the NHL early in the year. Before the puck drops in this matchup from Philly, continue reading to get my Kraken vs Flyers prediction.
Odds | Moneyline | Puckline | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
Flyers | −130 | Flyers −1.5 (+180) | Over 5.5 |
Kraken | +110 | Kraken +1.5 (−235) | Under 5.5 |
Seattle netminder Joey Daccord made 26 saves in the win over Toronto. He is 3-0-1 on the year for the Kraken and has done a great job starting for Seattle early on. Philly's Daniel Vladar stopped 15 shots in the victory over Minnesota. Vladar has an impressive 1.65 GAA going into this matchup and he will try to help Philly get another win here.
Sean Couturier leads the Flyers with five points through five games. Owen Tippett has three goals in five games, and newcomer Trevor Zegras has provided four assists early on. Jared McCann leads the Kraken in goals with three. Vince Dunn has been the key playmaker from the blue line with five points in five games.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Jared McCann (SEA) | Over 0.5 Goals |
Sean Couturier (PHI) | Over 1.5 Points |
Vince Dunn (SEA) | Over 0.5 Assists |
Score Projection: Philadelphia Flyers 4 – Seattle Kraken 3
Win Probability: Flyers 55%, Kraken 45%
Seattle is on an incredible points streak to start this seaosn. But I think that streak could end on Monday night in Philadelphia. A road-weary Kraken team will have to find a way to score goals against a very good goaltender in Vladar. I expect the Flyers to do just enough to win this game, either in regulation or by a goal in overtime.
