Pittsburgh Penguins vs New Jersey Devils Prediction - 11/8/2025

The Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the New Jersey Devils on Saturday at Prudential Center in Newark. These teams are tied at the top of the Metropolitan Division early in the season and will look to continue their strong starts with a win today. Before the action begins in Newark, you can find my Penguins vs Devils prediction below.
Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins +1.5
Confidence: ★★★☆☆
The duo of Markstrom and Allen have split the goaltending duties fairly evenly for the Devils this season. Allen has a better statistical profile early in the year but Markstrom is likely to get the start in this matchup. It will be Arturs Silovs in net for Pittsburgh with Tristan Jarry on IR for the next couple of weeks.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Sidney Crosby | Over 1.5 points |
Jack Hughes | Over 0.5 goals |
Jesper Bratt | Over 0.5 assists |
Score Projection: New Jersey 4 – Pittsburgh 3
Win Probability: New Jersey 65%, Pittsburgh 35%
New Jersey should be able to win at home in this game to continue their perfect start at home this season. But I'm going to take the Penguins to cover the puckline as an underdog on the road here. They have the playmaking ability to keep this game close. Pittsburgh could win this game outright if the struggling Markstrom gets the start in goal.
