The Florida Panthers will travel to take on the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Florida enters this contest struggling with inconsistency, which is rare for them after two straight championship seasons. Los Angeles appears to be steadily improving at home. Here, you will find a breakdown of both teams coming into this game, as well as my Panthers vs Kings prediction.
Florida has struggled to this point in the 2025‑26 season. They are 6‑6‑1 and are averaging only 2.54 goals per game, ranking near the bottom of the league offensively. They most recently suffered a 7‑3 loss on the road to the Anaheim Ducks, giving up five unanswered goals after leading 3‑2 late in the second period. Their road record is just 1-5 and their title defense is not off to a great start thus far.
The Kings are 6‑4‑4 and trying to get themselves on track as well. They blanked the Winnipeg Jets 3‑0 in their latest outing and have won three of their last five games. There is a ton of room for improvement for the Kings as well and they will look for a win over the defending champs tonight.
Florida’s veteran goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has had ups and downs this season. His recent performance against Anaheim was poor. But he has a respectable 2.82 GAA for the season in spite of that horrible showing. Kings netminder Darcy Kuemper is 4-3-3 on the season and has a 2.57 GAA. He will try to deliver here and avoid yet another overtime/shootout loss.
Florida’s offense has stalled. Their power‑play conversion is at 20% yet their overall goal‑scoring of 2.54 per game ranks 31st in the NHL. Brad Marchand leads the Panthers with 7 goals and 6 assists (13 points). That is troubling given that he missed time early in the season. The Kings are led by players such as Adrian Kempe (6 goals, 10 assists, 16 points) and Kevin Fiala (6 goals, 4 assists, 10 points).
Player | Prop Suggestion |
|---|---|
Adrian Kempe (Kings) | Over 0.5 goals |
Kevin Fiala (Kings) | Over 1.5 points |
Brad Marchand (Panthers) | Over 0.5 goals |
Score Projection: Panthers 2 – Kings 4
Win Probability: Panthers 43% | Kings 57%
I'm going to go with the Kings to get the win at home in this matchup. Los Angeles should take advantage of just how bad the Panthers have been on the road throughout this season. I'll take the Kings on the moneyline and they could cover the puckline as well, given how bad Florida has been in that market this season.
