Oilers vs Flames Betting Pick
This game will be played at Scotiabank Saddledome at 10:00 PM ET on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
Why Bet The Oilers:
✅ Edmonton is undefeated on the road this season, holding a perfect 2-0 record entering Saturday night’s contest against the Flames.
✅ Connor McDavid is on a hot streak. The league’s best player scored a hat trick in the Oilers win over the Blackhawks and historically owns the Flames, famously ending the playoff series between the two teams last year with the series winning goal.

✅ Edmonton has recently dominated the Battle of Alberta. In the regular season, the Oilers won the series in 2021-22 by a 6-3 gap. The Oilers then dispatched the Flames in five games in the playoffs, including wins at the Saddledome along the way.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oil wrap up their first road trip of the season with an easy game to get up for and the momentum of a two game win streak behind them. Edmonton took care of business during the week in enemy territory, beating the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night before getting the win in a road back to back in Chicago against the Blackhawks on Thursday.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been red hot on the road trip for the Oil. The veteran forward registered a goal in both games to contribute to both wins, Nugent-Hopkins also assisted two goals against the Blackhawks in a big three goal night. Nugent-Hopkins currently has a goal in three straight games and is in the midst of a comeback season where he is already on 11 points after just eight games.
Jack Campbell is expected to get the start in goal for the Oilers. The former Toronto Maple Leafs netminder has been winning games so far as the Edmonton number one in goal, even if his individual numbers could use some improvement. Campbell is 4-2 in his six starts this season but has a below average .888 save percentage the Oilers hope will improve throughout the year and into the playoffs.

Calgary Flames
While the Oilers have been on the road this week, the Flames have been at home in Alberta on a seven game homestand. Calgary has made the most of their opportunity of extended time on home ice so far, winning three of the first four games of the seven game home set.
The Flames are also on a two game winning streak and are well rested, having been out of action since Tuesday night. Calgary beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 in overtime last Saturday before beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 on Tuesday, earning themselves a nice three day layoff before taking on the Oilers in a highly anticipated Saturday night blockbuster.
Flames head coach Darryl Sutter has a tough decision to make with regards to the starting goaltender on Saturday night. Sutter will have to either stick with his usual starter Jacob Markstrom – who has well documented struggles against the Oilers – or opt to go with his backup goalie in Dan Vladar. The Flames started Vladar in the first game between the two teams and he earned the win, stopping 26 out of 29 shots.
