The Edmonton Oilers head to TD Garden on Thursday for a key National Hockey League contest against the Boston Bruins. Both clubs have shown offensive firepower this season and enter this game with wins in three of their last four games. Only one team will get a win in this matchup and I pick which team I think that will be right here, as I make my Oilers vs Bruins prediction for Thursday's game.

The Oilers have been competitive of late, winning three of their last four contests and riding high after a 6-4 victory against Pittsburgh that featured a milestone performance from Leon Draisaitl. Draisaitl recorded his 1,000th NHL point in that game and will be a threat in this game as well.
Boston enters this game following a convincing 4-1 home triumph over the Utah Mammoth. The Bruins have won four of their last five outings. The Bruins’ home record of 12-5-0 is a sign of their comfort in front of their fans this season. They will need all the comfort they can get to win at home in this matchup against the explosive Oilers.
Goaltending will be a central factor in determining the outcome of this matchup. Edmonton’s netminding options include Tristan Jarry, who has delivered a respectable record with a 2.77 goals against average and a .905 save percentage this season. Boston is expected to lean on Jeremy Swayman, who has a 2.74 GAA with a .909 save percentage.
Connor McDavid remains the engine of the Oilers’ attack, leading his club in points and consistently creating dangerous chances. Leon Draisaitl’s milestone season is a microcosm of his continued impact, while Edmonton’s power play ranks among the most efficient in the league. On the Bruins’ side, Morgan Geekie has been a key scorer, and David Pastrnak has provided some multi-point outputs in recent games.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Connor McDavid | Over 1.5 Points |
Leon Draisaitl | Over 1.5 Points |
David Pastrnak | Over 0.5 Assists |
Score Projection: Edmonton 4 – Boston 3
Win Probability: Edmonton 52%, Boston 48%
This game features two teams with explosive offenses and it should be exciting from start to finish. I'm going to take the Oilers to win as a slight favorite on the road, with Draisaitl and McDavid being too much for the Boston defense to contain in the crucial moments of this contest at TD Garden.
