Key Storylines
Recent Form
- The Golden Knights 3-0-2 so far this season. They have earned at least a point in each of their first five games. Their most recent game was a 6-5 win over the Boston Bruins at home in a game that demonstrated just how impressive the Knights can be on the attack.
- Calgary has lost four consecutive games. Their most recent game was a 3-1 defeat to the Utah Mammoth. Calgary's defense has been a huge problem early in the season. They are allowing 3.80 goals per game going into this contest against an explosive Vegas team.
Goaltending
- Vegas' goaltender Akira Schmid stepped in after Adin Hill's injury and secured a 4-2 win over the Flames on October 14. Schmid is 3-0-0 so far this season and will try to bring his 3.00 GAA down with a strong showing tonight.
- Calgary's Dustin Wolf has had a rough start to the year. He has a 3.77 GAA through his first four games and is 1-3 during those outings for the Flames.
Key Skaters
- Jack Eichel leads the Golden Knights with an impressive 11 points. He has five goals and six assists and he is impacting the game in several ways for Vegas.
- Matt Coronato has been a bright spot for Calgary. He has two goals and one assist, but he and his teammates need to do more offensively.

Final Thoughts
The Flames have lost four straight games by two goals or more. I think we are going to see them struggle again in this contest against a Vegas team that has been doing whatever has been needed to rack up points. I'll lay the puckline with Vegas here, as they should make it six straight games with at least a point earned.
