Teams Last 10
This game will be played at Caesars Superdome at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Why Bet The Saints:
✅ The betting public will likely fixate on the offensive performance of the Seahawks last week against the Lions. But the Lions rank 31st in the NFL, allowing 6.5 yards per play this season, as their defense has been abysmal this year. This week, the Seahawks play a Saints team that has allowed 1.5 yards per play less than the Lions, and Geno Smith and company will go back to struggling on the road.

✅ Speaking of poor defenses in terms of yards per play allowed, which team is the only one worse than the Lions in yards per play allowed? That would be the Seattle Seahawks, who are allowing 6.7 yards per play going into Week 5. Andy Dalton was competent against the Vikings in London last week, and should be able to move the ball at will against Seattle.
✅ The standings in the NFL show the Saints as an 0-2 team at home this season. But one of those home games was a London game, and the other was against the Buccaneers, who the Saints held to single digits for the majority of that contest. This team is not as bad as their record would suggest, and should be able to take advantage of a nice get right spot here.
Seattle Seahawks
In the most entertaining game of the NFL Week 4 schedule, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Detroit Lions by a score of 48-45. Seattle was able to move the ball at will against the Lions, which made up for the fact that they could not buy a stop defensively. This week, offense could be harder to come by for Seattle, which will mean that their defense is going to need to step up in a big way.
So far this year, the Seahawks are allowing 428.0 yards per game defensively, which is second only to the Lions for the worst mark in the NFL. Seattle’s 6.7 yards per play allowed is the worst number in the league. And while the Saints are banged up offensively coming into this contest, it is clear that Seattle’s defense is not well-equipped to handle any opponent so far during this campaign, which they will look to change this weekend.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints fought valiantly in London without the services of their top quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. But they fell just short against the Minnesota Vikings across the pond, with a late game-tying field goal attempt from Wil Lutz hitting the upright and crossbar before bouncing away to seal New Orleans’ fate. This week, the Saints return home and will hope for better fortunes back on home soil against Seattle.
Of course, the injury questions for the New Orleans offense will be key in deciding how this Seahawks vs Saints game goes for the Saints. Andy Dalton might not be bad to have on the field at quarterback again this week. But getting Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara would be huge for the Saints as they look to avoid falling to 1-4 this week.
