The Week 17 showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday is a huge game for both of these playoff‑caliber teams at Highmark Stadium. The Eagles enter on the back of clinching back‑to‑back NFC East titles behind balanced offensive production and a powerful rushing game led by Saquon Barkley. The Bills boast an explosive offense paced by reigning MVP Josh Allen and league‑leading rusher James Cook. But only one of those teams can get a win here, and you'll find my Eagles vs Bills prediction below.

The Bills’ offense ranks among the NFL’s most productive, averaging nearly 390 total yards per game. Their balanced attack forces defenses to respect both the air and ground abilities of Josh Allen and James Cook. Cook’s season has been incredible, as he’s leading the league in rushing yards and scored 12 times on the ground. He gives Buffalo a physical dimension that could wear down Philadelphia’s defense in a way that few teams can.
The Eagles have secured the NFC East crown once again and have a multifaceted attack themselves. Jalen Hurts has guided Philadelphia to a 10‑5 record, combining steady passing with the ability to run, while Saquon Barkley’s contributions include over 1,000 yards rushing and give Philly a threat that opens up play‑action passing opportunities.
Josh Allen’s 2025 campaign has solidified his standing as one of the NFL’s elite signal callers with over 3,400 passing yards and 25 touchdowns. His dual‑threat capability adds another layer to Buffalo’s offense, making him particularly dangerous when the game tightens up in the second half.
On the other sideline, Jalen Hurts has been efficient with more than 3,100 passing yards and 24 touchdowns while also contributing on the ground. Hurts’ ability to extend plays and produce chunks of yardage down the field will be critical if Philadelphia wants to slow down Buffalo’s pass rush and control this game.
Score Projection: Eagles 23 – Bills 27
Win Probability: Eagles 45%, Bills 55%
This game will come down to which explosive offense will make the key plays when the chips are down. I'm leaning toward that team being the Bills, as they come into this contest on a four-game winning streak and with a 6-1 record at home. Josh Allen is going to continue to deliver in Orchard Park and the Bills are going to keep the pressure on the Patriots in the AFC East race.
