The Jaguars have surged to an 11–4 record, entering Week 17 on a six-game winning streak that has elevated them into postseason contention and put them atop the AFC South. Trevor Lawrence has driven a balanced attack, and key pieces like Jakobi Meyers have provided reliable production since joining the offense. Jacksonville’s defense has also stepped up, providing crucial stops and forcing turnovers at timely points in games.
The Colts enter this game at 8–7 with desperation mounting. A win is required for Indianapolis to keep any realistic playoff hopes alive. Veteran Philip Rivers has returned from retirement under center, providing experience but no wins in his first two outings. The Colts have lost five games in succession, and Indianapolis now faces a difficult final road test against a Jaguars team peaking at the right part of the season.
For Jacksonville, Trevor Lawrence’s playmaking has been a catalyst for the team’s recent success. He’s thrown 26 touchdowns while keeping turnovers in check, helping the Jaguars sustain drives and score efficiently. Jacksonville’s offense found a way to put up points on the road against a very good Broncos defense last week and Lawrence deserves some of the credit for that.
On the Indianapolis side, Philip Rivers’ late-season return has provided a veteran presence. But his age and lack of mobility could pose limitations against a Jaguars pass rush that has grown more disruptive as the season has gone on. Rivers’ accuracy and decision making will need to be on point for the Colts to pull an upset here.
Score Projection: Jaguars 30 – Colts 20
Win Probability: Jaguars 69%, Colts 31%
I am going to lay the points with the Jacksonville Jaguars in Indianapolis on Sunday. The Jags are putting things together at the right time this season and the Colts have completely fallen apart since Jones went down injured. I'm expecting the Jags to win big here and for the Colts to be officially eliminated from playoff contention.
