The Carolina Panthers will travel to MetLife Stadium on Sunday to take on the New York Jets in Week 7 of the NFL season. Carolina has some momentum on their side after back-to-back wins, while New York remains in search of its first victory of the season. Here, you will find my analysis for this matchup in the NFL, including my Panthers vs Jets prediction.
Spread | Moneyline | Total |
|---|---|---|
Panthers –1.5 | Carolina –125 / Jets +105 | 41.5 |
Carolina's Bryce Young: Young has 1,150 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and five interceptions so far. He also brings an ability to run when needed. Against the Jets, he is projected to throw for around 200 yards with roughly one touchdown. His ability to avoid mistakes and keep drives alive will be critical if the Panthers want to get their first road win of the year.
New York's Justin Fields: Fields has had a rough stretch lately, including a game in London with –10 net passing yards. He’s been under heavy pressure and plagued by protection breakdowns. With Wilson possibly out or limited, his weapons are limited, and his margin for error is slim.
Score Projection: Panthers 24 – Jets 17
Win Probability: Panthers 58%, Jets 42%
The Jets have home-field advantage in this game, but that is about all they have going for them right now. Carolina has looked much more dangerous with the ball lately and I'll go with Carolina to win and cover the spread on the road on Sunday.
