The Atlanta Falcons will face the San Francisco 49ers in a Week 7 matchup on Sunday Night Football fram Santa Clara. Both teams come into this game with winning records and will look for a win that could help their playoff chances as the season wears on. Betting Market | Line |
|---|---|
Spread | 49ers -2.5 |
Moneyline | 49ers -135 / Falcons +115 |
Total | 47.5 |
Quarterback play will be a critical factor in this matchup. Brock Purdy's potential return could stabilize the 49ers' offense, which has been respectable with Mac Jones leading it in Purdy's absence. Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has shown promise, leading his team to a victory over the Bills with over 250 passing yards and a touchdown. As long as Penix can avoid turning the ball over and keep finding his playmakers, the Falcons have a chance here.
Score Projection: 49ers 27 – Falcons 20
Win Probability: 49ers 61%, Falcons 39%
This is going to be a very good Sunday Night Football matchup between two teams that are firmly in the playoff picture in the NFC. As far as the outcome is concerned, I think that the 49ers will win and cover the spread as a slight favorite at home. San Francisco could have several of its key contributors back on offense and that should give them the upper hand against a Falcons team that has not been impressive on the road yet this year.
