Key Storylines
- The 76ers come in off a bruising 131‑91 loss to the Spurs in their most recent outing, a game that exposed roster depth issues and saw injuries mount for Philadelphia. Their superstar center Joel Embiid is sidelined with an oblique strain that will keep him out of this contest.
- Utah has struggled mightily of late, losing six consecutive games and managing only seven wins away from their home floor. They have also been hit by injuries that have robbed them of depth and scoring leaders.
- Offensive efficiency has been a talking point for Utah, but defensive shortcomings have been their undoing this season, while the 76ers have been uneven on both ends without their key big man.
Key Players
Philadelphia 76ers
- Tyrese Maxey: The 76ers’ leading scorer and primary offensive initiator, Maxey is averaging nearly 29 points, 6.7 assists, and making plays at a high rate. His ability to score in isolation and create for others becomes even more critical with their star center out.
- VJ Edgecombe: The rookie has shown flashes of offensive promise, though he is dealing with his own injury uncertainty after exiting in a recent blowout. His availability and shooting will be a factor in keeping the 76ers afloat.
Utah Jazz
- Keyonte George: Emerging as Utah’s leading scorer, George has been a bright spot, capable of putting up points in bunches to keep Utah competitive.
- Kyle Filipowski: A consistent presence inside, Filipowski contributes around 12 points and 8 rebounds. He provides some interior toughness and finishing ability, even as Utah’s overall offense has wavered.
- Isaiah Collier: Utah’s floor general, averaging close to 15 points and 8 assists, leading the Jazz offense and providing playmaking that keeps them in games.

Final Thoughts
On one hand, we have a Jazz team that has completely thrown in the towel for the season. On the other, we have a Sixers team without its best player and playing for the second night in a row. All of that adds up to difficulty feeling confident in these teams getting a win here. But I'll reluctantly lay the points with the Sixers in this one.
