The New York Knicks will host the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Wednesday night. Game 1 of this series sent a loud message, with New York delivering a dominant 137-98 win that exposed major flaws for Philadelphia. But that result counts the same as any other playoff game, and Game 2 on Wednesday night offers a chance for the Sixers to even this series at a game apiece. Before tip-off on Wednesday, continue reading to get my 76ers vs Knicks Game 2 prediction.
New York enters Game 2 with a 1-0 series lead after opening this series with a blowout against a team that had far fewer days off than the Knicks leading into this series. Their Game 1 performance featured 63.1% shooting from the field, a level that is difficult to maintain, but highlights their offensive ceiling. Jalen Brunson led the charge with 35 points and continues a remarkable run against Philadelphia.
For the Philadelphia 76ers, the focus is on response and adjustments in this game. Joel Embiid is expected to play through an ankle issue, and the team must clean up their turnovers after committing 19 in the opener. Fatigue isn't likely to be as much of a factor in this game, as the Sixers got the same rest as the Knicks before Game 2, but Philly still needs to clean things up before this contest.

I think we are in for a much closer game than we saw between these teams in Game 1. Philadelphia has the talent to respond, and the Sixers shouldn't look quite as fatigued compared to their opponent again in Game 2. I'll take the points with the Sixers, though my expectation is still for the Knicks to find a way to get a win to take a 2-0 series lead in a tense contest at the world's most famous arena.
