The Lakers arrive after a thrilling overtime win against Denver that extended their winning streak to five straight games and continued an impressive run that has pushed them firmly into the upper half of the Western Conference standings. Their offense has been explosive, powered by elite shot creation from Luka Doncic and strong scoring support across the lineup.
Houston has quietly built one of the league’s strongest home records and has developed into a deep team with multiple scoring options. The Rockets combine size, rebounding strength, and reliable defense, which has helped them hold opponents near 110 points per game this season.

This game features two teams with legitimate playoff aspirations and star talent capable of taking over late. Houston’s rebounding advantage and strong defense give the home team a clear edge in several areas. The Rockets also benefit from playing at the Toyota Center, where they have been extremely difficult to beat.
Los Angeles has been playing outstanding basketball recently and their offense is operating at a high level. Luka Doncic has been one of the league’s most dominant offensive forces, and when he is creating shots for teammates the Lakers can score with anyone. But the Rockets should be too much for the Lakers to overcome tonight, and I'll lay the points with Houston here.
