Game 6 between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves is on Thursday night with the series hanging in the balance, as Minnesota holds a 3-2 edge and now returns home with a chance to close things out. Denver responded in Game 5 with a strong offensive showing, forcing this series to extend and shifting some pressure back onto the Timberwolves. Injuries continue to shape this matchup, particularly for Minnesota, while Denver leans heavily on its star duo to keep its season alive going into Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 6.
Minnesota enters Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead, but missed a major opportunity to finish the series in Game 5. Turnovers and inconsistent execution allowed Denver to regain confidence, and now the Minnesota Timberwolves must respond at home under pressure. Injuries remain a central issue, with Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo still sidelined, leaving Minnesota short on perimeter scoring and shot creation.
Denver showed signs of life offensively in its last outing, scoring 125 points after struggling earlier in the series. The Nuggets will look to replicate that efficiency while continuing to rely on their elite half-court execution. The key question is whether their defense can hold up against Minnesota’s physical frontcourt and rebounding.

Denver’s path to victory depends heavily on Jokic and Murray delivering elite performances while getting consistent support from role players. While that formula worked in Game 5, repeating it on the road is less certain, particularly against a Minnesota team eager to avoid a Game 7 in Denver. But with Edwards and DiVincenzo out for the Wolves, I expect Denver to repeat their Game 5 performance. I'll back the Nuggets to cover the spread and force a Game 7 on their home floor over the weekend.
