The Denver Nuggets travel to Milwaukee on Friday for an interconference showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks. Denver enters the night with a 30–15 record and remains firmly in the Western Conference playoff picture, while Milwaukee has struggled to find consistency at 18–25 and is attempting to fight its way back into the top 10 in the Eastern Conference. Here, I break down this East vs West matchup in the NBA and my Nuggets vs Bucks prediction can be found below.

Key Storylines
- Denver has been one of the steadier teams in the league, posting a 7-3 record over its last 10 games and winning 18 of 25 road contests this season. Even with lineup adjustments caused by the injury to Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets continue to score efficiently and limit opponents on the glass.
- The Nuggets defeated the Bucks 108–104 earlier this month, a game that highlighted Denver’s ability to close late with disciplined offense and strong half-court execution.
- Milwaukee enters this game after a lopsided loss to Oklahoma City and has dropped four of its last five games. Defensive breakdowns and inconsistent scoring outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo have defined this recent stretch of losses for the Bucks.
- Injuries remain a factor for both of these teams. Denver is without Nikola Jokic, who continues to recover from a knee injury, while Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson are also sidelined. Milwaukee is missing Kevin Porter Jr. indefinitely, with Myles Turner listed as day-to-day.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to post elite numbers, averaging over 28 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game. But there are trade rumors surrounding Antetokounmpo, as there are questions as to whether he will finish this year with the team. The Bucks continuing to struggle would likely make it harder to keep Giannis around.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends

- Denver enters this game with a 26-19 record against the spread for the season.
- Milwaukee is 19-24 against the spread heading into Friday night's game.
- The over is 27-18 in games involving the Nuggets this season.
- The under has gone 26-17 in Bucks games this year.
Nuggets vs Bucks Model Projection
Score Projection: Denver 110 – Milwaukee 118
Win Probability: Denver 42%, Milwaukee 58%
Final Thoughts
The Bucks have not played like a team that deserves to be a favorite against elite competition like the Nuggets this year. But I think that this is a great spot to back the Bucks, as they take on a Nuggets team that is playing in the second leg of a back-to-back here. I'll lay the points with Milwaukee, as a healthy Giannis should have a big night against a tired team.
