The Cleveland Cavaliers (12‑6) head north to take on the red-hot Toronto Raptors (12‑5) on Monday night at Scotiabank Arena. The Raptors are riding a seven-game win streak, while the Cavaliers are managing injuries to several key contributors. Here, I break down this important Eastern Conference matchup and give you my Cavaliers vs Raptors prediction.
Pick: Toronto Raptors +2.5
Confidence: 2 out of 5

The Raptors enter this game with momentum, having just secured their seventh straight win with a 119‑109 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. In that game, Immanuel Quickley hit two clutch 3-pointers late, and Scottie Barnes paced the team with 17 points. RJ Barrett scored 16 before exiting with a right knee sprain, which raises some concern heading into this contest. Jakob Poeltl is also questionable for Toronto with a back issue, weakening their frontcourt rotation.
On the other side, Cleveland is dealing with a significant injury list. Their injury report lists Jarrett Allen (finger), Craig Porter Jr. (hamstring), Sam Merrill (hand), Lonzo Ball (rest), and Max Strus (foot) as unavailable or doubtful. Allen’s absence in particular could disrupt their interior defense and rebounding. Even so, the Cavaliers are still one of the better-shooting teams in the league, especially from deep. They average 15.6 made three-pointers per game.
Toronto values physicality and has been effective in the paint. They rank high in points in the paint, a factor that could help them exploit Cleveland’s weakened frontline if Allen can't suit up. The Raptors’ strong home form and the Cavaliers’ manpower issues make this a game that could go in either direction in the East.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Scottie Barnes (TOR) | Over 17.5 points |
Immanuel Quickley (TOR) | Over 5.5 assists |
Evan Mobley (CLE) | Over 9.5 rebounds |
Score Projection: Cavaliers 118 – Raptors 120
Win Probability: Cavaliers 50%, Raptors 50%
Both of these teams are on the second games of back-to-backs, so this is a hard game to call as far as I'm concerned. I lean slightly toward the Raptors to win as a home dog, as they have proven that they are more than capable of beating Cleveland already this year. But this will be a tight game and bettors should tread carefully.
