The Detroit Pistons host the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena in a Central Division NBA matchup. Detroit enters this game as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference with a 27–9 record, while Chicago sits at 17–19 and has struggled to find consistency due to some recent injury issues. The Pistons are double-digit favorites, while the Bulls will try to pull off an impressive upset. Here, I break down this contest and give you my Bulls vs Pistons prediction for Wednesday night.

The Pistons have been one of the more efficient teams in the Eastern Conference this season, averaging 118.8 points per game while allowing 112.1. That average margin has helped them build a first-place resume in the Eastern Conference. Detroit’s offensive balance and depth have shown through, even as several rotation players are listed on the injury report. Cade Cunningham is probable with a wrist issue and remains the centerpiece of Detroit’s offense, while Duncan Robinson and Caris LeVert are also probable. However, big men Jalen Duren and Tobias Harris are confirmed out, which could limit Detroit’s size and interior scoring.
Chicago arrives in Detroit having struggled to maintain defensive intensity, giving up some of the highest scoring totals in the league. The Bulls’ defense has been a persistent concern, allowing over 120 points per game. Offensively, Chicago can score, but recent losses have highlighted their issues on the defensive end of the floor. Injuries will be a concern for Chicago going into this matchup. Coby White and Matas Buzelis are questionable. The Bulls will also be without Jalen Smith, Zach Collins, Noa Essengue, and Josh Giddey, creating significant depth issues that could be exposed on the road.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Cade Cunningham | Over 27.5 Points |
Cade Cunningham | Triple-Double |
Matas Buzelis | Over 16.5 Points |
Score Projection: Pistons 120 – Bulls 107
Win Probability: Pistons 78%, Bulls 22%
My projections make this a good spot to lay the points with the Detroit Pistons at home. Chicago is struggling without Josh Giddey to lead them in every statistical category. I'll lay the points with the Pistons here, as they should build on their big win over the Knicks in their last game.
