The South Carolina Gamecocks and Texas A&M Aggies will meet in an important SEC football game on Saturday. South Carolina enters at 3-6 overall and 1-6 in SEC play. Texas A&M is perfect at 9-0 and 6-0 in the SEC, with their sights set on College Football Playoff action and a spot in the SEC championship game. Before this contest kicks off from College Station, I've looked at the betting markets and made my South Carolina vs Texas A&M prediction.
Pick: Texas A&M -17.5
Confidence: ★★★★☆
Texas A&M's Marcel Reed has emerged as both a passing and rushing threat this season. He currently has over 2,100 passing yards with 19 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He also has 378 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. He will test the Gamecocks defense in this game.
LaNorris Sellers has the athletic ability to threaten any defense, but this season his production has dipped compared to last year. His passing grade has fallen and he has not consistently moved the South Carolina offense against top competition.
Score Projection: South Carolina 13 – Texas A&M 35
Win Probability: South Carolina 30%, Texas A&M 70%
Texas A&M is vastly superior to South Carolina on both sides of the ball right now. I don't think that the pressure of closing in on a playoff spot will cause too many problems for the Aggies here. I recommend laying the points with Texas A&M as they should win another game by multiple possessions.
