Thursday’s matchup between the Stetson Hatters and Lipscomb Bisons is set to tip off earlier than originally scheduled, thanks to snow in the forecast throughout the south. But no matter what time the game starts, it should be an interesting one. Lipscomb comes into this game as one of the stronger teams in ASUN play, while Stetson is trying to move above the .500 mark in conference play with a win here. Before this contest tips off on Thursday afternoon, I've got you covered with my Stetson vs Lipscomb prediction here.

Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Stetson Hatters @ Lipscomb Bisons
- Date & Time: January 22, 2026, 1:00 PM ET
- Venue: Allen Arena, Nashville, Tennessee
- Broadcast: ESPN+
Key Storylines
- Lipscomb enters as one of the better teams in the ASUN with a 12–7 overall record and 5–1 record in conference play. They score at a high rate, averaging over 81 points per game while limiting opponents to about 75 points per contest. Their home court has given them a distinct advantage, as they are unbeaten at Allen Arena this season at 9-0.
- Stetson is struggling overall at 7–12 and 3–3 in ASUN play. The Hatters have shown the ability to make shots but have been less steady defensively against top-tier ASUN offenses. The Hatters are allowing just over 81 points per game on the season and they will need to tighten things up on defense to have a shot in this game.
- The January 8 game between these two teams saw Stetson win 91–83 on the road, paced by a 30-point night from Jamie Phillips Jr. This prior result suggests that Stetson can knock down shots and compete with the Bisons, but Lipscomb’s home-court advantage and deeper roster could help them to avenge that loss here.
- The early start time for this game because of the weather forecast could impact this game in any number of ways. Lipscomb’s Grant Asman and Charlie Williams have been consistent contributors, giving them reliable scoring and rebounding options. Stetson relies on Phillips and perimeter shooting, which can be more volatile. But which stars are able to perform with the early start time could decide this game's outcome.

Final Thoughts
Stetson won the first meeting between these teams this season and I'm expecting Lipscomb to flip the script on them this time around. Look for the Bisons to maintain their perfect home record here and for the Hatters to fall below the .500 mark in ASUN play after Thursday's play is complete. But I don't think this will be a double-digit game and I'll take the points with the Hatters.
