The Stetson Hatters and Austin Peay Governors will each play for the second day in a row in an early afternoon matchup on Friday. Stetson played an overtime game on Thursday and came up just short on the road against Lipscomb. They will try to bounce back against an Austin Peay team that scored a blowout win at home on Thursday against Florida Gulf Coast. Before the second leg of this back-to-back for both Atlantic Sun teams, keep reading for my Stetson vs Austin Peay prediction.

Key Storylines
- Austin Peay is 6-1 in ASUN competition this year and won their first matchup with Stetson by a 12-point margin on January 10. In that game, Collin Parker poured in 27 points to lead the Governors. Zyree Collins and Rashaud Marshall offered strong complementary production behind Parker in that game. Austin Peay is tied for second place in the ASUN standings and is just a game behind 7-0 Queens going into Friday's play.
- Stetson enters this rematch having dropped two games in a row and three of its last four. The Hatters most recently played a tough contest at Lipscomb where they lost 79-74 in overtime, and they also fell to Queens and West Georgia during this challenging stretch. The Hatters have dropped to 3-4 in conference play and will try to get back to .500 in the ASUN with an upset win here.
- Jamie Phillips Jr. remains Stetson’s primary scoring option, and Collin Kuhl has provided valuable support after a career-high scoring performance in a recent victory. The question is whether the Hatters can find enough help for that duo to challenge an Austin Peay team that is firing on all cylinders.
- From a conference tournament standpoint, Austin Peay’s performance keeps them in the upper tier of ASUN standings with ambitions of staying near the top going into postseason play. The ASUN is a conference that gives home-court advantage to higher seeds in their tournament, making every game extremely important for the Governors from here on out.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends
- In their meeting earlier this month, Austin Peay delivered a convincing 81-69 win at Stetson.
- Stetson is 9-9 against the spread going into this game. They covered the spread on Thursday against Lipscomb despite losing.
- Austin Peay is 9-6-1 against the spread for the year and they covered in their win over FGCU in their last game.

Final Thoughts
I am going to lay the points with Austin Peay in this game. Both teams are on the second legs of back-to-backs here, but the Governors are at home for their two straight days of action, while Stetson has to travel from one Tennessee school to the next. I'm expecting APSU to win in a lopsided game against a Stetson team that is just a day removed from an overtime game.
