Key Storylines
- Louisiana has struggled overall, with an 11-21 record, but has played competently in recent games and even knocked off James Madison 64-61 in their last head-to-head meeting earlier this year.
- The Ragin' Cajuns are in the unenviable spot of playing a team that has more rest going into this game, as Louisiana had to play last night and managed to get past Georgia State in the opening round. This tournament's structure really punishes lower-seeded teams and it will be interesting to see if Louisiana can overcome that.

Final Thoughts
James Madison appears to hold the upper hand entering this Sun Belt Tournament clash with more consistent scoring, better shooting percentages, and a rest advantage over a Louisiana team that played last night. Louisiana’s previous win over the Dukes illustrates their ability to keep this competitive, but overall performance metrics suggest James Madison should pull away and cover the spread on their home floor.
