Key Storylines
- Form update: Illinois enters on a 10-game tear, including an 88-82 stunner at Purdue where freshman Keaton Wagler poured in 46 points. Nebraska had a 24-game overall winning streak snapped in a 75-72 loss at Michigan, but still sits at 20-1 and 12-0 at home.

- Shotmaking stars: Illinois’ Wagler averages 17.7 points and 4.2 assists, while Nebraska’s Pryce Sandfort checks in at 17.4 points and stretches defenses from deep. Nebraska guard Sam Hoiberg leads them in assists at 4.2 and exploits passing lanes.
- Efficiency profile: Illinois averages 85.0 points per game and dominates the glass, while Nebraska’s defense has lived in the mid-60s in points allowed and thrives by forcing turnovers and winning the 3-point shooting battle.

Final Thoughts
My projections make this a tight game between two teams that could really use a win here for seeding purposes when looking ahead to the Big Ten tournament and the NCAA Tournament. I will lay the points with Nebraska here, as they should bounce back from a road loss to arguably the best team in college basketball in Michigan. Expect Nebraska to stay unbeaten at home and to avoid a second consecutive loss here.
