Key Storylines
- Duke enters Monday as the consensus number one team in the nation with a remarkable 27-2 record and at least a share of the ACC regular-season title secured.
- The Blue Devils boast one of the nation’s most efficient offenses and the top defense in college basketball while leading the ACC in scoring margin.
- NC State has climbed to 19-10 on the season and is a strong home team, but recent losses to teams like Miami and Notre Dame highlight their inconsistency as they aim to end Duke’s dominance in Raleigh.
Key Players
NC State Wolfpack
- Ven-Allen Lubin – A double-figure scorer who is central to the Wolfpack offense. Lubin posted 24 points and 10 rebounds in NC State’s recent overtime loss to Notre Dame. His ability to attack the boards and score in traffic is vital.
- Quadir Copeland – The team’s primary facilitator and guard playmaker. Copeland leads the Wolfpack in assists and provides scoring at around 13.7 points per game. His decision-making will be key in slowing Duke’s transition defense.
- Darrion Williams – Another reliable scoring option for NC State, averaging over 14 points per contest. Williams’ shooting and scoring consistency help spread the floor for his squad.
Duke Blue Devils
- Cameron Boozer – Arguably the nation’s most impactful player, Boozer averages over 22 points and 10 rebounds while contributing on both ends. He recorded a 24-point, 13-rebound effort in Duke’s recent blowout of Notre Dame and remains the engine of the Blue Devils’ success.
- Isaiah Evans – A sharpshooter who led Duke with 19 points against Virginia, including multiple three-pointers. Evans’ accuracy from deep will help stretch NC State’s defense.
- Darren Harris – A valuable contributor off the bench who provides additional scoring and energy. His recent 16-point performance illustrates Duke’s depth.

Final Thoughts
Duke’s elite talent, suffocating defense, and statistical advantages position them as the clear pick in this ACC matchup. NC State will bring intensity and have the comfort of playing at home, but the Blue Devils’ depth and consistency should carry them to a victory and covers the spread. I recommend laying the points with the Blue Devils here, as they should lock up the ACC regular-season title against a Wolfpack team that has endured some concerning losses lately.
