The Bucknell Bison travel to face the Army Black Knights on Wednesday morning in an intriguing Patriot League contest that could have implications for tournament seeding. Both schools enter this game struggling for consistency late in the season, tied for the worst record in the Patriot League at 5-11 in conference play. But someone has to win this game and I pick who I think that will be with my Bucknell vs Army prediction.
Pick: Army Black Knights -2.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 3 out of 5
This contest features two Patriot League clubs that are fighting to improve their position before the conference tournament. Both teams are 5-11 in league play and they are tied for eighth place along with Holy Cross. All 10 teams in the Patriot League qualify for the conference tournament, but improving seeding somewhat would be huge for both teams to try and make things a little less difficult when postseason play rolls around.
Bucknell comes into this game on a five-game losing streak after losing to Holy Cross in their last outing. The Bison have lost by nine points or more in each of their last five games and will try to end that streak here. Army is coming off a loss to Navy in a rivalry game last time out and the Black Knights have dropped four of their last five contests.

These early-morning starts in college basketball are never easy, as teams have to get up for a game and play outside of their normal circadian rhythm. But being at home helps to alleviate some of those concerns and I'll roll with Army to get the job done in what could be an ugly basketball game in the Patriot League to begin Wednesday's college hoops action.
