The Sun enter Friday’s action with a record of 13-1, a full game ahead of the New York Liberty for first place in the WNBA standings. Tonight, though, the Sun might face their toughest test of the 2024 season as they are on the road against the two-time defending champion Aces.
The key to this Sun vs Aces matchup for Connecticut is going to be perimeter defense. A’ja Wilson is almost always going to get hers from the mid-range and in the paint. But if the Aces can make Jackie Young or Kelsey Plum (or both) struggle from the outside in this game, they could very well win this one outright and make a huge statement that their title candidacy is legitimate in 2024.
