A pair of games in the WNBA today and we’ll look at the late game between the Chicago Sky (12-12) and the Seattle Storm (18-8).
Chicago at Seattle Betting Odds
The Storm opened as 7.5-point favorites and the line has dropped to Seattle -6. The total climbed slightly from its opening at 163 to 165.5.
Chicago Sky
The Sky haven’t played all that great since the break ended, although Chicago did limp into the break a bit, losing their last two games before the break and going 2-2 since then. One of Chicago’s two victories were over the Storm, although Chicago needed overtime against a short-handed Seattle team that was without Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart, two of their three stars.
The Sky have been a better team on the road than they have been at home this season, going 8-4 on the road and 4-4 in front of the home fans. Chicago shoots 43.4% from the field and allows 42.2% shooting. Chicago hits and allows 34.3% from 3-point range. The Sky allow 80.5 points on the season, but just 76.7 on the road.
Seattle Storm
Seattle has been coasting along lately, going 6-4 in their last 10 games. They have played 15 road games and 11 home games, so Seattle does have a favorable schedule down the stretch.
Seattle’s big three of Bird, Stewart and Jewell Loyd, with Stewart and Loyd doing to heavy lifting as far as scoring goes. Stewart is averaging 20.4 points and Loyd scores 18.5. After Bird’s 10.7 points the Storm have five players averaging between 5.5 and 7.2 points per game. This is the first of back-to-back games for these two teams, with another game on Sunday.

Chicago at Seattle Pick
I have this one 82-79 for Seattle and would like to take the Sky, but a little hesitant to go against the Storm in a revenge situation, so will go against the line move and take the under 165.5 in this one. Chicago has played better defensively on the road and has the best defensive efficiency rating of any team on the road.
