Kyrgios vs Tsitsipas Betting Pick
Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas are two of the most watched players in tennis for very different reasons. In the third round of Wimbledon, they square off in a huge contrast in styles both physically and mentally. In our tennis betting picks from Wimbledon on Saturday, we look at Kyrgios vs Tsitsipas in what will be the most anticipated matchup at this year’s Wimbledon thus far.
Why Bet On Nick Kyrgios:
✅ Nick Kyrgios has had Stefanos Tsitsipas’ number historically in the careers of these two men. Kyrgios has won three of their four encounters all-time, with Tsitsipas’ lone win over Kyrgios coming on the artificially slow hard courts at the Laver Cup. Tsitsipas has lost to Kyrgios on grass once already this year, and will do so again here.
✅ Kyrgios is absolutely firing on all cylinders with his first serve so far at Wimbledon, winning 80% of his first serve points through two matches so far. He has 54 aces in those two matches, putting him third in the men’s draw behind John Isner and Alexander Bublik. Those free points on serve will help Kyrgios get through his service games more easily than Tsitsipas en route to a victory.

✅ Tsitsipas is coming off of a week where he won four matches in Mallorca to win a title before Wimbledon and has not looked all that convincing at the All England Club. While backing Nick Kyrgios in a big match can be dangerous, this is a good place to do so against a player in Tsitsipas who has played a lot of tennis over the last two weeks.
Nick Kyrgios
Nick Kyrgios has had an up and down start to the 2022 Wimbledon campaign, needing five sets to win in the first round before advancing through round two in straight sets. One thing has been a constant for Kyrgios, though, that being his massive first serve. Kyrgios’ serve has yielded 54 aces through two matches and an 80% win rate on first serve points.
In this match, Kyrgios’ mental state will be the biggest question mark against an opponent he has already beaten on grass this year. If he can avoid mental meltdowns and keep pumping in first serves, he could easily win this match. If he starts arguing with the chair umpire and letting Tsitsipas off the hook by failing to focus on the match itself, things could go off the rails in a hurry.
Stefanos Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas struggled through the first round at Wimbledon before taking round two in straight sets, just like his opponent in this match. Unlike his opponent in this match, though, Tsitsipas has not been blowing opponents away with his first serve. Instead, he has been grinding down his opponents off the ground, something he will have to do against Kyrgios in spite of a formidable first serve from the Australian.
Tsitsipas only saw nine aces from Kyrgios in their match at Halle a couple of weeks ago. But Kyrgios managed to save seven of the eight break points Tsitsipas forced in that match. The Greek number one has to be more efficient with those opportunities to avoid a second straight defeat against Kyrgios on grass this season.
