Kraken vs Canucks Betting Pick
This game will be played at Rogers Arena at 10:00 PM ET on Monday, February 21, 2022.
Why Bet The Canucks:
✅ Vancouver is coming off a 7-4 home loss to Anaheim last Saturday. The Canucks blew a nice chance to record their third consecutive victory. On the other side, Seattle suffered a 2-1 defeat at Calgary on Saturday, extending its losing streak to three games. While the Kraken have dropped six of their last eight contests, the Canucks haven’t registered two straight losses since January 25. None of these two teams has impressed lately, but the Canucks certainly look like a better team than the Kraken at the moment.
✅ Both Seattle and Vancouver have struggled mightily on the offensive end in 2021-22, tallying just 2.59 goals per game each (tied-26th in the NHL). The Canucks at least surrender 2.80 goals per game (12th), while the Kraken allow 3.51 goals per contest (28th). Thatcher Demko has done a solid job for Vancouver, posting a 20-16-2 record with a 2.67 GAA and .916 save percentage. On the other side, Philipp Grubauer is only 12-21-4 with an underwhelming 3.15 GAA and .887 save percentage on the season.

✅ Vancouver has a huge motive to grab a victory in this matchup. The Canucks are still alive in the playoff race, but their situation is far from ideal. Hereof, beating the lowly Kraken is a must, especially on the home ice where the Canucks have gone 5-4 over the last nine outings. Seattle, on the other side, has won just three of its previous 11 showings on the road. The Kraken sit bottom of the Pacific Division with 36 points on their tally.
Seattle Kraken
After a 4-3 victory at the Anaheim Ducks on February 11, the Kraken have lost three straight contests to Toronto 6-2 at home and Winnipeg 5-3 and Calgary 2-1 on the road. Last Saturday, they battled bravely against the Flames and narrowly failed to upset the odds as massive +250 underdogs.
Calgary outshot Seattle 37-23, and Philipp Grubauer finally put on a strong performance. The 30-year-old netminder turned 35 shots aside, but it wasn’t enough.
Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks completely fell apart in that 7-4 home loss to the Ducks last Saturday. After a surprising 3-2 win to the mighty Toronto Maple Leafs and a 5-4 overtime victory at the San Jose Sharks, Vancouver trailed Anaheim 5-0 after just 4:20 of play in the second period.
Elias Pettersson scored a goal and had a couple of dishes, trying to get his team back into the game. Over his past five appearances, the 23-year-old center has recorded three goals and five assists. Keep your eyes on Pettersson if you like betting player props.
