Kraken vs Flames Betting Pick
This game will be played at Scotiabank Saddledome at 10:00 PM ET on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
Why Bet The Flames:
✅ The Flames are the hottest team in the NHL. They are riding an eight-game winning streak and have won 11 of their previous 13 contests. Calgary is topping the Pacific Division with 62 points, while Seattle is sitting bottom of the standings with 36 points. The Kraken have dropped five of their previous seven games, including the last two.
✅ Calgary’s offense is on fire. The Flames have scored a whopping 28 goals over their last five outings at any location. On the other side of the ice, the Flames haven’t allowed more than a couple of goals in six straight games. Seattle’s defense will have a mountain to climb in this matchup. The Kraken own the fifth-worst scoring defense in the NHL, yielding 3.54 goals per game. Seattle has surrendered 19 goals in its last four tilts.

✅ The Flames shouldn’t have any problems beating the Kraken by two or more goals. Calgary has covered the spread in six games in a row. Five of those six victories have come by three or more goals. The Kraken, on the other side, couldn’t beat the puckline in three of their previous four outings. Seven of their last 11 losses have come by two or more goals.
Seattle Kraken
The Kraken are coming off a 5-3 defeat at the Winnipeg Jets last Thursday. They blew a two-goal first-period lead, allowing the Jets to take control down the stretch. Jordan Eberle, Vince Dunn, and Marcus Johansson all found the back of the net, while Philipp Grubauer surrendered four goals on 28 shots.
Grubauer is expected to guard the cage Saturday. He’s winless in three straight starts. The 30-year-old netminder is 12-20-4 with a 3.18 GAA and .884 save percentage in 2021-22.
Calgary Flames
The Flames extended their winning streak to eight games last Wednesday. They hammered the Anaheim Ducks 6-2 as huge -220 home favorites, playing on the second night of a back-to-back set. Elias Lindholm accounted for a couple of goals and an assist; Rasmus Andersson had three dishes, while Johnny Gaudreau added one goal and a pair of assists.
Jacob Markstrom guarded the cage against Anaheim, and he should get another starting call Saturday. Markstrom is 21-10-5 with a 2.12 GAA and .927 save percentage in 2021-22.
