Why Bet The Blues:
✅ Jordan Binnington was one of the key members of the 2019 St. Louis Blues, who won the Stanley Cup. The 28-year-old netminder entered the 2022 NHL Playoffs as a backup and took over in Game 4 of the first-round series against Minnesota. He’s been outstanding over the previous five games, posting a 4-1 record, 1.75 GAA, and .948 save percentage. Binnington had 30 stops in a 4-1 victory over Colorado in Game 2 last Thursday.
✅ The Blues allowed a whopping 54 shots in a 3-2 overtime defeat at Colorado in the opening clash of this series. They improved a lot last Thursday and outshot the Avalanche 32-31. Over the previous two contests, the Blues have surrendered one power-play goal. They owned the fifth-best penalty-killing percentage in the NHL this past regular season (87.1%).

✅ St. Louis is one of the few teams in the league with enough offensive firepower to compete with the Avs. The Blues boasted the third-highest scoring offense in the regular season, notching 3.77 goals per game. Also, their power-play percentage of 27.0 was the second-best in the NHL.
Colorado Avalanche
The Avs completely outplayed the Blues in Game 1, though a 3-2 overtime victory doesn’t suggest it. They outshot St. Louis 54-25 but went 0-for-3 with the man advantage. Darcy Kuemper returned from an eye injury and posted 23 saves.
Colorado failed to replicate its performance from the opener and fully deserved a loss in Game 2. Gabriel Landeskog scored the lone goal for the Avs after making a couple of dishes in Game 1, while Kuemper yielded three goals on 31 shots.
St. Louis Blues
David Perron netted a pair of goals last Thursday to lift his team over Colorado. Pavel Buchnevich made two assists, while Jordan Binnington yielded one goal on 31 shots.
Binnington was terrific in Game 1, turning aside 51 of 54 shots, but it wasn’t enough. The Blues managed to bounce back and played very well in the second game of the series to record the fourth victory in their last five outings.
