Hurricanes vs Rangers Betting Pick
This game will be played at Madison Square Garden at 7:00 PM ET on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
Why Bet The Rangers:
✅ The Rangers’ offense finally got things going last Sunday after scoring only one goal through the first two games of this series. Mika Zibanejad converted a power-play opportunity in the first period to get the Rangers a 1-0 lead, while Chris Kreider made it 2-0 in the second with his sixth goal of the postseason. Zibanejad and Kreider have combined for ten goals and 11 assists through ten games in the 2022 Stanley Cup.
✅ Igor Shesterkin struggled in the first round against Pittsburgh, but he found his mojo in the second-round series against the Hurricanes. The 26-year-old goaltender posted 43 saves last Sunday to lift his team over Carolina. Over his previous three starts, Shesterkin has registered a sparkling .956 save percentage while yielding just four goals in the process.

✅ The Rangers have dominated the Hurricanes at Madison Square Garden over the last ten years. They’ve dropped only four of their previous 23 home encounters with Carolina. The Canes have yet to win a road contest this postseason after suffering three losses in the first-round series against the Bruins.
Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes took 44 shots toward Igor Shesterkin in Game 3, but it wasn’t enough. Nino Niederreiter cut the deficit to 2-1 midway through the second period, but that was all the damage done to the Rangers’ goaltender.
On the other side of the ice, Antti Raanta yielded a couple of goals on 32 shots. He’s surrendered only one goal on 49 shots over the first two contests of this series. Frederik Andersen is questionable for Game 4 after spending more than a month on the injury list. Andersen was 35-14-3 with a 2.17 GAA last regular season.
New York Rangers
The Rangers relied heavily on their defense in the regular season, but they needed to step up on the offensive side of things in order to beat the sturdy Hurricanes. As I’ve mentioned, New York has scored only one goal on 49 shots through a couple of games at PNC Arena in Raleigh.
They still need more from Artemi Panarin, who’s scored one goal in his last seven appearances. Also, Panarin has made just one assist over the last five contests.
