Why Bet the Bruins:
✅ Boston’s road record is phenomenal as the Bruins have won 14 with just five losses this season.
✅ The Rangers are not a good home team this season and have a better record away from Madison Square Garden (14-5-3) than they do on home ice (11-8-4).
✅ Boston’s strong backup goaltending from Jeremy Swayman makes them a value play when getting odds factoring in the back to back. Swayman has won 10 out of his 16 starts for the Bruins this season.

Boston Bruins
The Bruins continued their dominant play on Wednesday against the Islanders, scoring two goals in both the second and third period to earn a 4-1 road victory.
Charlie McAvoy led the way with a goal and an assist in the win. Charlie Coyle added two assists as another key contributor in a game where the Bruins responded to an early Islanders lead to dominate the game.
Boston will be looking for a second win at MSG this season. The Bruins dominated the Rangers in their lone game this season back in early November, winning 5-2 in a game where they outshot New York by a 37-20 margin.
The injury report will be closely followed ahead of Thursday night’s game as Boston could be without Patrice Bergeron. Bergeron is questionable with a face injury and would be a big absence given his importance to the Boston special teams units.
New York Rangers
New York sits third in the Metropolitan Division and have a chance to prove they can beat the favorites in the Eastern Conference in a game where the Bruins are playing on short rest. The Rangers haven’t played since January 16 and as a result, have the perfect conditions in theory to earn a statement win over the Bruins.
Beating the Bruins would go a long way in putting the Rangers home struggles in the rearview in 2023. After a dismal first half of the season at MSG, the Rangers are slowly improving with a 3-1 record at home in January. Their lone loss came to the struggling Montreal Canadiens in their last home game, so those woes at MSG still could be lingering.
Offensive production will be the key factor for the Rangers against Boston. New York is averaging just two goals per game in their last three and are facing the best defensive team in the league in the Bruins. If they can’t find a way to light the lamp, the Bruins will overpower the Rangers even if they are on short rest for this one.
