Two teams coming off wins headline the best quality Thursday Night Football matchup in a long time to lead off ATSโ weekly NFL Same Game Parlay picks with a game actually worth a damn between the Tennessee Titans (6-3) and Green Bay Packers (4-6). Here, we build a Titans vs Packers parlay for the game.
The Titans head to Lambeau off the back of six wins in their last seven games, including a 17-10 win over the Denver Broncos last Sunday. Tennesseeโs only defeat since September came in an overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on the road, showcasing just how good the Titans have been in the first half of the season as a sneaky dominant football team.
Green Bay are looking to build some momentum of their own to make a second half of the season push after a dismal start to the season. The Packers finally have some momentum, beating the Dallas Cowboys in comeback fashion in overtime at Lambeau last week to keep their season from falling completely apart. Now, they have a chance to inch closer to .500 and the rest of the pack in the NFC Wild Card with another home win.
After the big win over the Cowboys, oddsmakers like the Packers to make it to wins in a row. NFL betting odds for Thursday Night Football see the Packers as -3.5 spread favorites and -175 odds on the moneyline. The Titans are +155 moneyline underdogs and the total is set at OV 41.

Head to Head
Teams Last 10
Pick 1: Tennessee Titans +3.5 (-115)
The Packers looked good last week, beating a Super Bowl contender in the Cowboys to keep their season alive. However, it took a miraculous 14 point fourth quarter comeback and a meltdown from Americaโs Team to do so in the overtime win.
Dallas was also missing Ezekiel Elliott in the game and the Packers still allowed 115 yards rushing from Tony Pollard in the win. Stopping Derrick Henry out of the Titans backfield will be an even more difficult task and is one the Packers are likely not up for.
The Tennessee Titans arenโt as good of a team as the Cowboys but if they get a lead, they will have Henry on the ground to salt it away and not blow the game. I like Tennessee to run the football down the throats of the Packers and keep things close in a game made for fans of power running football.ย
Tennessee has also covered in seven straight games and are 8-4 as moneyline underdogs dating back to last season, if you need more reason to like the Titans as more than a field goal dogs.

Pick 2: Derrick Henry Over 102.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
It is cold, it is football weather time and Ryan Tannehill will likely be throwing the football a lot less on Thursday night. Enter the Titansโ biggest weapon in Derrick Henry, who is an even bigger weapon when the temperatures dip and the need for power football comes into play.
Henry has rushed for 100 yards or more in five of his last six, with the streak coming to an end last week against the Broncos. Henry was well contained by the Broncos, who held him to a very impressive 2.8 yards per carry as a unit. That likely wonโt be the case for the Packers, who have the 28th ranked rush defense in the league and should be exploited by the gameโs best power running back in the frozen tundra of Lambeau.

Pick 3: Aaron Rodgers Under 238.5 Passing Yards (-110)
Betting against Rodgers in primetime is a historical risk but the weather and the strengths of both offenses as power football teams leads me to assume that Rodgers wonโt be lighting up the scoreboard and his box score in this one.
Last week Rodgers threw the football just 20 times despite the Green Bay Packers needing to come back from two scores down to beat the Cowboys. Rodgers has needed 35+ passing attempts to get across the 240 passing yard number this season and with Henry chewing the clock along with the Packers run-heavy offense, I just donโt see him throwing the ball around the yard enough to have a high passing yardage night against the Titans.

Titans vs Packers Preview
Both teams struggle to stop the run on defense and are highly dangerous on the ground on the offensive side of the football. Expect plenty of running plays in this one as the Titans allow the sixth most rushing yards per game and the Packers are the 28th worst rush defense unit in the league. Something both offensive coordinators wonโt mind as both the Titans and Packers are utilizing run heavy playbooks to make the most of their personnel.
The key to the Packers success on Thursday night will be tackling Derrick Henry on first and second downs to force the Titans into third and long or third and medium scenarios. Green Bay held Dallas to a 33% third down conversion rate last week, which was crucial in helping them end their losing streak and get crucial fourth quarter stops to mount their comeback. The Packers defense ranks 3rd in the league on third downs, somewhat surprising given the teamโs overall struggles to stop the run.
Tennessee are even better than the Packers on the money down. The Titans are the NFLโs best third down defense as head coach Mike Vrabelโs team does an excellent job of getting off the field when they get an opportunity to earn a stop. That third down defense has been crucial to keeping opponents to 20 points or fewer in six consecutive games.
