The NFL betting slate for Week 12 closes out with a Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts matchup that features two losing teams that need to win out the rest of the way to keep their playoff hopes alive. Hopefully, the high stakes can keep things interesting in a game that is admittedly a low quality matchup by Monday Night Football standards, and this Steelers vs Colts parlay could help with that as well.
The Colts have looked a lot better since making the shock coaching move to hire Jeff Saturday, beating the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10 before nearly upsetting the Philadelphia Eagles in a game they led until late in the fourth quarter. After two encouraging performances back to back, the Colts will hope to continue to build on their momentum with a win over a struggling Steelers team that enters Monday Night Football with a 3-7 record.
Steelers vs Colts betting odds list the home team as -2.5 favorites and -145 moneyline favorites. The Steelers are +125 to win straight up over the Colts in Indy and the total is set at 39.5 points.
Here are the three best bets for Monday Night Football, wrapped up into a nice Same Game Parlay.

Head to Head
Teams Last 10
Pick 1: Colts -2.5 (-115)
Despite hiring a head coach with no professional or collegiate coaching experience, the Indianapolis Colts are looking far more organized with their new leader on the sideline. Indianapolis had one of their best offensive performances of the year in the win over the Raiders, scoring 25 points before putting a scare into the hearts of the Eagles with a sturdy defensive performance last week.ย
Playing the Steelers at home gives Saturday and the Colts another opportunity to prove they are headed in the right direction going into 2023 by beating a fellow struggling team. With the way the Colts have been holding teams to under 20 points this season, it is likely they frustrate a mediocre Steelers offense and grind out a win at home in primetime on Monday night.

Pick 2: Jonathan Taylor Over 88.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Jonathan Taylor has been back to his highly productive self since returning to the Colts backfield from injury, scoring touchdowns in both of the last two games and averaging 115.5 yards over Week 10 and Week 11.
Taylor now turns his attention to matching that production in a tough matchup against a strong Pittsburgh Steelers run defense in what will be his biggest test since returning from injury. Only three teams have allowed fewer rushing yards than the Steelers, who donโt often give up big games to running backs.ย
Monday night should be an exception if Taylor is truly back to being one of the most reliable running backs in football. I believe he is healthy and back to form and should be able to eclipse the 90 yard mark, especially if he sees 22+ carries for the third straight week.

Pick 3: Under 39.5 (-110)
The Under in this game is a suspiciously obvious play but with two anemic offenses squaring off, it is too logical to pass up. Indianapolis often fail to break the 20 point barrier and when they do, it is usually against a bad defense.
Indy has only scored 20+ twice this season, with those offensive performances coming against the last ranked defense in DVOA in the Raiders and then the 26th ranked Jacksonville Jaguars. Taylorโs return helps the Colts move the football but it also helps them bleed a ton of clock with the ground game serving as the focal point of their offense.
Alternatively, the Colts defense is solid and has held quality offenses in the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans and the Eagles to less than 20 points this season. With Kenny Pickett leading the Steelers offense at quarterback, the Colts defense should be able to keep Pittsburgh off the board and keep this game under the number. With both offenses ranking bottom five in the league in scoring, it just makes sense.

Steelers vs Colts Preview
The Colts defense does well stopping the run, allowing just 3.8 yards per carry. The secondary also does fairly well stopping the pass, allowing just 6.5 yards per passing attempt. However, the Colts struggle to stop pass catching running backs and will have a tough matchup in Najee Harris. Indy allows 39 yards per game to running backs through the air, something to consider for prop bettors as Harrisโ receiving yards prop is set at just 17.5 yards.
Colts owner Jim Irsay will be pleased that his team is finally receiving a marquee primetime game at night, a rare sight for the franchise since the end of the Peyton Manning era. Indy played just nine times at night from 2011-2020, lowest in the league. It will also be the first Monday Night Football game in the city since way back in 2015, when only five players on the Colts roster were even in the league.
Pittsburgh remains a primetime fixture and have the third highest winning percentage on Monday Night Football with a .671 mark. The Steelers are also looking to level things back up with the San Francisco 49ers in the category of all-time Monday Night Football total wins. San Francisco broke the deadlock with their win over the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City last week to earn their 52nd victory on MNF, a number the Steelers hope to match by beating the Colts.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin needs his team to win out the rest of the way to avoid matching his career low for losses in a season with eight. Tomlin is also two losses away from his first losing season as a head coach, going the previous 15 seasons without a losing year.
