The Seahawks were simply not good enough on defense last season to make up for their inconsistent offense. They gave up 30 or more points six times last season, which put their offense in spots where they had to do way too much to have success. Seattle moved a ton of aging players off their roster on defense in the offseason, but the question is whether anyone can step into those spots and deliver better performances.

Seattle’s top positive going into the 2024 NFL season is the fact that they should be able to move the ball through the air effectively once again. With a great trio of receivers in DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle will simply have too many dynamic receivers for opposing teams to guard on a regular basis.
But the biggest negative for the Seahawks is a defense that should drag them down once again in 2024. Their front-seven lacks consistent playmaking ability and we expect this group to struggle to generate turnovers once again. This should result in a lot of high-scoring football games, though it might hold this team back in the win column.
