Why Bet the Seahawks:
✅ Kansas City is coming off of back to back weeks where they nearly lost to terrible teams. They survived a six-point game against the Denver Broncos, then needed overtime to beat the Houston Texans by six points. Here, they will win by around a touchdown, but not by double digits.
✅ From a motivation perspective, the Seahawks have more to play for going into this matchup. They are on the outside looking in when it comes to the NFC playoff race. They need to win games to give themselves a chance. They may not win this one, but they will fight and keep things competitive.
✅ The Chiefs have the second worst record against the spread in the NFL this season. They are 4-9-1 on the year, and have been struggling to win by the margins that oddsmakers have set for them. That will continue here.

Seattle Seahawks
Last week, the Seattle Seahawks were beaten at home on Thursday Night Football by the San Francisco 49ers. They were torn up by the duo of Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle, who combined for over 200 scrimmage yards against Pete Carroll’s defense. This week, the Seahawks have to defend another elite set of weapons in Kansas City.
Even though the Seahawks were beaten by the top-two weapons of the Niners, they held San Francisco to just 21 points in that game. It was the offense of the Seahawks that let them down, as they mustered just 13 points. They will need to score more than that to compete with the Chiefs’ top-ranked scoring offense.
Kansas City Chiefs
It was not pretty, but the Kansas City Chiefs did enough to beat the Houston Texans last week. They forced a Davis Mills fumble in overtime, turning it into a touchdown on the ensuing possession to win and move to 11-3 on the year. Now that they have clinched their division, they can focus on overtaking the Buffalo Bills for first place in the AFC, and the first round bye that comes with it.
For the Chiefs, defense is going to be the big question coming into this contest. They have allowed 26 points per game over their last two games despite playing two of the league’s worst offensive clubs. That needs to be remedied ahead of the playoffs, where several AFC teams are dangerous offensively.
