Why Bet The Seahawks:
✅ This is more of a condemnation of the Texans than an endorsement of the Seahawks. The Houston Texans have lost 10 of their last 11 games, with all 10 of those losses coming by seven points or more. Even with Tyrod Taylor back in the fold, the Texans have struggled to put points on the board, as evidenced by last week’s shutout at the hands of the Colts.
✅ Seattle did manage to find a spark offensively last week against the San Francisco 49ers. They needed some turnovers from San Francisco to help spark their second half comeback, but the Seahawks finally started connecting on some explosive passing plays in that game. Here, they will continue to establish a rhythm against a Texans team that has been awful on both sides of the ball.

✅ Houston is by far the worst offensive team in the NFL this season, averaging 4.4 yards per play this season. The next worst team in the league is the Carolina Panthers at 4.8 yards per play, meaning that there is a substantial margin between the Texans and the rest of the league in terms of offensive ineptitude.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks scored a much-needed win in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers. As a home underdog, the Seahawks went down in the first half, but forced some turnovers and hit some big plays to fight back and win the game. Now, at 4-8 on the year, the Seahawks are still just two games back of the Wild Card spots on the NFC heading into this very winnable game against Houston.
For the Seahawks, the goal of this game will be to continue to develop an offensive rhythm, which they began to do in the second half against the Niners. This game will go a long way in determining if that second half was just a flash in the pan for the Seahawks, or a sign of things to come over the final stretch of the regular season.
Houston Texans
Houston lost its second straight game last week, losing 31-0 to the Indianapolis Colts. That loss was the second time this season that the Texans have been shut out, with the first coming against the Buffalo Bills while Davis Mills was their starting quarterback. Things haven’t improved all that much offensively with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, which is a concern coming into this week against Seattle.
With the Texans’ offense playing as poorly as it has this season, the pressure shifts onto the defense of the Texans each week. They know that they have to play a near-perfect game just to have a chance to win each week, which is not a recipe for success in the NFL.
