Steelers vs Titans
This is an AFC matchup between a Titans team that is essentially locked into the playoffs, but trying to hold on to the AFC South lead. They have not quite been the same team since the loss of Derrick Henry, but are still a quality squad. They travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers, who are certainly still playoff hopefuls. The AFC playoff picture is super tight and jam packed, so every game is carrying huge weight for all of these teams in the race. Both the Titans and Steelers have weaknesses on their respective defenses that can be exploited.

Why Bet The Over
✅ The Titans are a team that loves to run the football. Even without Derrick Henry, that has not changed. Of course any team will lose some level of effectiveness when losing a player that is the caliber of Derrick Henry, but this matchup is exploitable no matter who is taking handoffs. The Steelers are the stone worst team in the league in terms of yards per carry allowed. They are allowing 5.0 yards per carry on the season. They are second worst in the league in rushing yardage allowed per game, at 139.5 yards per contest. What’s more, they have been even worse than their season average of late. They have allowed 5.5 yard per carry and 182.3 yards per game over their last three.
✅ The Titans also have a hole on defense, but it is the opposite of the Steelers. They are more exploited by the pass, and have difficulty covering wide receivers. Their recent numbers are skewed because of recent matchups with the passing game deficient Jaguars, Texans and Trevor Simian version of the Saints. Make no mistake, competent passing offenses have an easy time with this matchup. While the play of Ben Roethlisberger is never a given, the extremely high end play form the pass catchers hides that wart. The Titans secondary will have no answer for Diontae Johnson and company.
✅ In a vacuum, neither of these offenses can be considered elite. However, this is not a normal matchup. The strengths of each offense match up perfectly with the weakness of each defense. With a total set at just 43, the over is a fantastic play.
