This game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
Why Bet The Under:
✅ Pittsburgh is not going to contribute much to the total in this game, to put it lightly. They have the second worst scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 15.3 points per game, a number better than only that of the Denver Broncos. On the road in a hostile environment against the unbeaten Eagles, expect another low-scoring performance from the Steelers to help the under get home.

✅ Pittsburgh is a huge underdog in this game, and their offense is a big reason why. But the defense of the Steelers has been more than serviceable in recent weeks. They have allowed 17 points per game over their last two games against the Buccaneers and Dolphins, covering the spread in both of those contests. Another solid defensive showing will not be easy to generate here, but the Steelers are more than capable of doing so.
✅ Despite their unbeaten record, the Eagles have not been a team that has consistently outscored their expected number this year. They are just 3-3 on the over/under market this season. Meanwhile, the Steelers have seen five of their seven games go under the total, which will be the case again in this all-Pennsylvania contest.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers played on Sunday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins. They did not win that game, but had their chances to do so before ultimately falling 16-10. This week, the Steelers face an even tougher opponent in the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, in a game where the Steelers defense is going to be tested.
Pittsburgh has allowed under 25 points in five of their seven games so far this year. Against an Eagles team that averages just shy of 27 points per game, that may not be an attainable goal this time around. With Kenny Pickett still learning the ropes at quarterback for the Steelers, Pittsburgh will need to avoid allowing the Eagles to get out to an insurmountable lead by stacking up some stops.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles had their bye week in Week 7 of the NFL season, after winning all six of their games prior to the bye. Philadelphia has been dominant on both sides of the ball so far this season, going 4-2 against the spread while beating everyone they have gone up against. This week, the Eagles face their in-state rivals, as they look to keep rolling offensively against a decent Pittsburgh defense.
So far this year, the Eagles have avoided turning the ball over, which has been a huge reason for their undefeated start. They have given the ball away just twice this season, and lead the league in turnover margin at +12. If they can continue to avoid giving the ball away here, they could have an easy path to a 7-0 start.
