Steelers vs Vikings
This inter-conference matchup carries much more weight than most. Both the Steelers and the Vikings are clutching to a record good enough for the 7 seed in their respective conferences. Of course staying in the top seven is vitally important, as seven teams in each conference make the playoffs. The Steelers claim they will now stick with a quick hitting and often no huddle passing attack. This makes perfect sense for them as their offense is best built for it with their lack of run blocking capability. The Vikings are a team that have an uncanny ability to play close games regardless of opponent. 11 of their 12 games this season have been decided by a one score margin.

Steelers vs Vikings Player Prop Pick: Diontae Johnson Over 81.5 Receiving Yards
✅ Diontae Johnson continues to fly under the radar as one of the best, if not the absolute best wide receiver in the league. The man lives wide open, is matchup proof, and beats both zone and man coverage with ease. His ability is unquestioned. He has also seeing volume that will prop up even lesser players in bad matchups. Fortunately this is neither a lesser player, nor a bad matchup. Johnson has seen at least 11 targets in four straight games. He has seen at least 11 targets in six of the last seven games and has seen 12 or more targets in eight of ten games. His volume stems from his ability to run perfect routes and always be open. Johnson has recorded at least 83 receiving yards in eight of the nine games in which he’s seen 11 targets or more.
✅ The Vikings are the softest matchup in the league for wide receivers. Wide receivers average 13.4 catches per game against them. On those 13.4 catches, the average yardage output is 189.9 per game. Just last week, rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown recorded his best game as a pro. He had 86 yards and a score on ten catches. The week before Brandon Aiyuk had 91 yards on just three catches. Going back one more week, it gets even worse for the Vikings. Both Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling cleared the century mark. The list goes on and on. The soft matchup will be a cake walk for Johnson.
Bonus Player Prop
✅ With the Steelers announcing a commitment to a quick hitting passing attack, that means less running. It is truly what is best for the team. That said, it will take away from the rushing output of Najee Harris. Harris has struggled on the ground of late anyway, so perhaps they are not actually losing anything. He has averaged just 44 yards per game on the ground over the last three weeks. With his rushing prop set at 70.5 yards and his volume being truly questionable, it is savvy to take the under on that prop.
