Steelers vs Chiefs Betting Pick
This game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Why Bet The Chiefs:
✅ Kansas City has won seven straight games, and appears to be building momentum rapidly heading into the postseason. The Chiefs are averaging an NFL-best 6.3 yards per play over their last three games, over a yard per play more than the Steelers during that time period. They will use their offensive advantage to punish Pittsburgh here at home.
✅ The Chiefs defense has been much improved over the last few weeks as well, allowing 0.6 yards per play less than their season average over their last three games. Pittsburgh’s defense is still the slightly better unit, but the Chiefs have proven that they are not the worst defense in the league like they were thought to be earlier in the season.

✅ Pittsburgh is 2-4 on the road this season, with both of their road wins coming in low-scoring games. The Chiefs are 6-2 at home on the year, and don’t often allow opponents to hold their offense in check well enough to have low-scoring games. This gives the Chiefs a decided advantage here.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up a significant win last week, beating the Tennessee Titans at home to keep their playoff hopes afloat at 7-6-1. Pittsburgh’s defense again saved the day for them last week, as they were able to hold Ryan Tannehill to around 150 passing yards as they held on and got the late stops necessary to win the game.
This week, the Steelers will need more from their offense in order to win against a red-hot Chiefs team. Pittsburgh scored just 19 points at home against the Titans, with Ben Roethlisberger throwing for just 148 yards in the victory. Against the Chiefs, 19 points and 148 passing yards simply will not get the job done.
Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City needed overtime to do it, but they beat the Los Angeles Chargers on the road last week to move themselves to within one game of clinching the AFC West. The Chargers had the lead for much of that game, but the Chiefs were able to answer them with Patrick Mahomes and their offense on a regular basis.
This week, pass protection will be the biggest key for the Chiefs against the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s ability to get pressure on the quarterback is the only path to victory that they have against the Chiefs. If Andy Reid’s team can keep a pocket for Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs could win this game convincingly and start thinking about the postseason.
