Eagles vs Giants
This NFC East Giants vs Eagles matchup is between two teams heading in opposite directions. Every time we (I) think the Giants are ready to take a step forward, it simply does not happen. It is now painfully obvious the coaching staff is to blame. The Giants fired offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, but that is just a band aid. Joe Judge and the whole coaching staff will need to be relieved in the offseason. The Eagles on the other hand have figured out how to run the ball. They are a hot team that has injected itself into the playoff race.

✅ The Giants offense simply lacks effectiveness at all levels. While skill position injuries have been a factor at times, there is nowhere left to point but to scheme. Jason Garrett was fired as OC, but that is just a band aid as Judge tries to save his job in the offseason. There is a very high probability the team cleans house from the front office on down in the offseason. For the remainder of the season, it would be surprising if anything truly improved. This is an offense who has not hit the 30 point threshold in any game this season. They also have not cleared 25 points in any of the last six games. That six game average is 17.7 points per game.
✅ When playing soft matchups, the Giants defense is capable of a very strong performance.Tthey are beaten handily more often than not when not facing a low end offense. The Giants have been consistently bad against the run. They have not been truly blown up by opposing running game in some time, but have been consistently subpar. This will be an issue as the Eagles have truly figured out how to run the ball in recent weeks. Top back Miles Sanders is healthy and should have a solid day against the Giants. The odd thing for the Giants is their gross rushing defense is bottom half of the league on all categories, despite not facing a rushing quarterback. Of course that changes this week.
Hurts SZN
✅ Jalen Hurts has been the true lifeblood of the Eagles offense. His rushing prowess has been a true difference maker. He has a knack for finding the end zone by any means necessary. He has thrown for 13 touchdowns on the season and has ran for eight more. Touchdowns aside, he truly chews up yardage on the ground. Only nine players regardless of position have ran for more yards than Hurts. Some teams play rushing quarterbacks better than others. The truth about the Giants is we have no sample size to take away from. However, with their lack of a stout rush defense overall, I suspect Hurts will have a big day on Sunday. Take the Eagles to keep their winning streak rolling.
