NFL Draft Day 2
We are on to Day 2 of the NFL Draft after a wildly entertaining first round. Day 1 let us see nine trades take place. That included some high profile veteran wide receivers being on the move. The Cardinals shocked us when they acquired Marquise Brown from the Ravens. Not to be outdone and truly just moments later, the Eagles made an even bigger acquisition. They acquired AJ Brown from the Titans and gave him a brand new contract.
Wide receivers were the story of the day. On the rookie and draft side of things, we saw six wide receivers go in the first 18 picks. Day 1 closed with 14 picks made with no more wide outs being selected. Seeing as there were three more players at the position with a realistic chance of being taken in the first round, the early portion of day 2 will see action at the position.

We are more limited on props available than we were heading into Day 1, but there are still sound bets to be made.
NFL Day 2 Prop Bets
QB Prop
Day 2 has a prop offering of the second quarterback to be selected. This comes on the heels of the Steelers making Kenny Pickett the lone first round selection at the position. We did cash on that outcome as Pickett came with a +150 price tag for that outcome last week.
Looking ahead, Malik Willis continues to be quite the betting favorite to be the next quarterback off the board at a whopping -550. That outcome is still possible if not probable, but I do not believe it to be the foregone conclusion oddsmakers are making it out to be. Desmond Ridder has gained much steam later in the draft process and he comes with a +450 return to be the next signal caller drafted. That will be our point of attack looking at the 9:2 return.
Betting Pick: Ridder second QB selected +450
TE Prop
We are attacking the quarterback position with a +450, but will go the other direction on the tight end side. The top tier of the tight end position in this class is one player deep, and he is Tre McBride. I view him as highly likely for Round 2, and likely the top half of it. Then the gap is wide. It would be a true shock to see the next tight end come off the board before Round 3. For reference, the over/under on McBride’s draft position is 46.5, while no other tight end is on the board. I generally hate laying minus figures at this level, but the true probability is of McBride being the first TE, I don’t mind it here.
Betting Pick: McBride First TE selected -450

Over/Under Props
We are coming right back to wide receivers for our over/under draft position props. Two players that we have open under wagers on are Skyy Moore and Christian Watson. With updated props, both of these players would go under if they go at pick 37 or 39. Moore sits at 39.5 and Watson sits at 42.5. I would expect both of these players to be off the board by the 39th pick.
What makes pick 39 so special? That is the wildly glaring WR need of the Chicago Bears. The rebuilding franchise has scarcely little after Darnell Mooney at the position. They are incredibly likely to go wide receiver at 39. Additionally, the Texans, who pick at 37, could certainly use a boost at the position.
Moore and Watson are the clear cut top receivers available, so we will double down on unders on these two players. The thought process here is we are looking at a split on them at worst, with the more likely outcome being both coming off the board in the first handful of Day 2 picks.
Betting Pick: Moore Under Pick 39.5
Betting Pick: Watson Under Pick 42.5
