Saints vs Buccaneers
Week 15 is unequivocally overflowing with games crucial to the playoff picture in both conferences. Sunday Night brings us another one of those matchups. The Buccaneers will look to ice the division with a win. They are fighting for more than just a divisional title however, as the NFC 1 seed and first round bye is up in the air. The Buccaneers are currently in a three way tie for the NFC’s best record at 10-3. The Saints are fighting and clawing for playoff life. Their season unraveled a bit when they were forced to start Trevor Siemian at quarterback for a stretch. At 6-7, they currently outside the playoff bubble. With Taysom Hill under center they now have a chance to be competitive with any team. We are likely in for more island game fun, just like we had on Thursday night.

Saints vs Buccaneers Player Prop Pick: Taysom Hill Over 47.5 Rushing Yards
✅ The Saints offense rings a different element of danger with Taysom Hill taking the snaps. We saw the unmitigated failure during the Trevor Siemian stint. We also saw the difficulty the offense as a whole has when missing Alvin Kamara and/or Mark Ingram. Both backs will be in the lineup behind Taysom Hill on Sunday. The presence of the running backs won’t do much for actual rushing production from the running backs, but that is due to matchup. The Buccaneers hold down opposing running backs on the ground, perhaps better than any team in the league. The Bucs will be faced with an unfamiliar test of stopping a dual threat quarterback. They have faced only Jalen Hurts in that department this season. Hurts had 10 carries for 44 yards and a score in that matchup.
✅ Taysom Hill will be the key player in this matchup on Sunday Night. Both his arm and legs will determine who wins. The Buccaneers are going to put a good deal of points up on the Saints, and it will be up to them to keep the scoring pace. I suspect Hill is up to the task. The Saints had good quarterback rushing results in the first matchup with the Buccaneers this season. The wholly immobile Jameis Winston had 40 yards rushing on just four carries in that game. Hill is a totally different player and one that has been beating the league rushing when given the opportunity for two season now.
Taysom Time
✅ In two starts over the last two weeks, Hill has had 11 carries in each contest. He has turned those 22 carries to 174 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns. That is good for 7.9 yard per carry average. While that average is not quite sustainable, his 6.6 yard per carry average on the season is sustainable. At the season average he would need only eight carries to go over the low 47.5 rushing yard total. I think he goes far beyond that and perhaps eclipses the century mark. Take Taysom to run all over the Bucs, albeit likely in a losing effort.
