This game will be played at Hard Rock Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Why Bet The Dolphins:
✅ The Miami Dolphins have been more explosive than the Minnesota Vikings this season. The Dolphins have averaged 6.0 yards per play this season, tied for fifth in the NFL, a half-yard better than the Vikings. Of course, how the Dolphins fare here will depend on who their quarterback is, but Minnesota’s defense allows 6.0 yards per play and should give the Dolphins a chance here at home.

✅ Miami is 2-0 at home so far this season, beating the Patriots and Bills at Hard Rock Stadium already this year. Miami is just 1-2 on the road, but their performances in Miami make them very difficult to pass up on here. They did a great job of keeping Josh Allen and the Bills out of the end zone, and should do the same against Kirk Cousins and the Vikings.
✅ Minnesota is 4-1 on the season so far, but they are just 1-4 against the spread. They have not covered the spread since Week 1, where they beat the Green Bay Packers. Since then, they have gone 0-4 against the number, including last week against the Chicago Bears. Expect their ATS slide to continue against Miami in this contest.
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings got a win over the Chicago Bears in Week 5, though it was not as easy as it was expected to be. Minnesota went up 21-3 in that game, but gave up 19 straight points to fall behind 22-21. The Vikings proceeded to score a touchdown and get a stop to close out the game and win, but the win left some concerns nonetheless.
This week, the Vikings will look for a better defensive performance than what they put out there against the Bears. Minnesota allowed Justin Fields to throw for over 200 yards, which is a huge game by Fields’ standards this season. While we are not sure who the quarterback will be in this game for the Dolphins, the Vikings will need to be better defensively against whoever it is.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins lost on the road against the New York Jets last week. With starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa out, Teddy Bridgewater started the game for Miami. He was knocked out with a head injury, while Tyreek Hill was also hurt in the game. Now there are all kinds of questions about who will play this week for Miami, most notably at quarterback.
If both Tagovailoa and Bridgewater are unable to go, Skylar Thompson will get the start for Miami. Thompson threw for 166 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception during his action against the Jets in Week 5. Miami will hope to have one of their top-two quarterbacks on the field for this game to avoid starting Thompson, but everything is up in the air early in the week.
