Vikings vs Bears
Another prime time game, another game with real playoff implications. The difference in this game and the previous island games this week is only one team has playoff implications. The Bears are out of the playoff race. They still have things to decide however. Namely, how viable it is to keep Matt Nagy on as head coach. The Vikings on the other hand are still scrambling for the last playoff spot in the NFC. They entered the week tied with four teams for that last slot. Two of those teams have played, notching a win and a loss. Two more of those teams play each other tomorrow. With a win, the Vikings have the ability to move up into that playoff slot by way of way of tiebreakers.

Vikings vs Bears Player Prop Pick: Dalvin Cook Over 16.5 Receiving Yards
✅ If there is one universal truth about the Vikings, it is that they never make anything easy. This is a team that plays one score games, regardless of opponent. 12 of their 13 matchups thus far have been decided by a scoring differential of a single score. Great teams, awful teams, average teams, it simply does not matter. They are better than their record suggests, but effectively find new ways to make games interesting and/or lose each week.
✅ The Vikings way of keeping games tight is an important factor in this player prop pick. While the Vikings are a superior team to the Bears, we absolutely want to be confident in a competitive game script. Any time we are taking a receiving prop on a running back, it would be detrimental if that running back’s team were to win by blowout. We want to feel comfortable that the team will be throwing at their normal rate for the majority of the game.
✅ This prop line certainly does not accurately reflect how Cook has been utilized as a pass catcher. He has now seen at least three targets in five straight games. He averages 4.4 targets per game in that span. The yardage he is gaining is certainly not reflected in the betting total. He has now eclipsed 16.5 receiving yards in four straight games. Cook is averaging 33.5 receiving yards per game in that span. We have a player with true ability and opportunity on a prop line set far too low.
Bonus Player Prop
✅ On the Bears side, the Cole Kmet receptions prop is set at just 2.5. Nevermind advanced stats, this feels like the oddsmakers never bothered to check box scores. Kmet has seen five or more targets in seven of his last eight games. In those same seven of eight games, he has had at least three receptions. That includes the last three straight game sin which he averages 4.7 receptions and 7.7 targets per game. Take the over on 2.5 catches.
