Super Bowl LVI Prediction: Rams vs Bengals Betting Pick
This game will be played at SoFi Stadium at 6:30 PM ET on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Why Bet The Rams:
✅ The biggest key to this game is the advantage in line play that the Rams enjoy over the Bengals heading into Super Bowl LVI. Los Angeles’ defensive line, featuring Von Miller and Aaron Donald, should be able to bully a Bengals offensive line that gave up nine sacks just two games ago. With the Rams’ ability to get pressure without blitzing, Joe Burrow won’t be able to make quick throws as easily, leading to sacks galore.
✅ Matthew Stafford has been on fire this postseason, averaging 9.1 yards per pass attempt this postseason. He has averaged nearly a yard and a half more per attempt than Joe Burrow, despite Burrow getting a much larger share of the credit for his team’s success. Stafford will continue to prosper in this game, as he has clearly benefited from the addition of Odell Beckham.

✅ The Rams have an important edge in experience heading into this game, with many of their key players having taken part in their last Super Bowl appearance. That experience will allow them to provide leadership to their new additions about what Super Bowl week is like and how to handle the pressures that come with it. That may not seem significant, but it could be what decides the game in pressure-packed moments.
Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams fell behind against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, but they turned the tables and came back from 10 points down to win the conference title. Sean McVay’s play calling and challenge decisions made things more difficult than they needed to be, but the Rams’ defense came through in a big way to overcome that. They held the Niners to seven second half points and a scoreless fourth quarter to allow Matt Stafford and the offense the time they needed to complete their comeback.
In this game, the Rams will need to get home with their pass rush to maximize their chances of winning. The Bengals gave up just one sack against the Chiefs, allowing them to come back from 18 points down to win the AFC Championship Game. Von Miller and Aaron Donald will need to lead a defensive front that prevents Joe Burrow from similar second half success on the biggest stage in football.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals went down 21-3 against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game before turning things around and winning in overtime. The Bengals gave up just three second half points after allowing the Chiefs to march down the field for three first half touchdowns. That comeback sets up the Bengals’ first Super Bowl appearance in over 30 years, as the Bengals look for their first Super Bowl victory.
If the Bengals are going to beat the Rams and win their first championship, they will need to figure out a way to slow down the combination of Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. Both Rams receivers had over 100 yards in the NFC Championship Game, and will make the difference in the game if the Bengals cannot contain them. After the way the Bengals played defense in the second half in Kansas City, there is at least a blueprint for the Bengals to facilitate that.
